The modified nitrile tube provides excellent resistance to petroleum-based fluids, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and the abrasive wear caused by solid-laden drilling muds.
Reinforcement: Multi-Layer Strength for High Pressure
Our Mud Hose features a robust reinforcement system designed to contain extreme pressures while maintaining flexibility.
- Multiple Layers: Constructed with alternating layers of textile fabric and high-tensile steel cable
- Intermediate Rubber Layer: A specially formulated middle rubber layer is placed between each steel cable layer to:
- Reduce friction between reinforcement layers
- Enhance flexibility during dynamic service
- Prevent fatigue and extend hose service life
- Pressure Containment: The spiral-wound steel cable reinforcement provides exceptional burst strength while accommodating the pulsating flow from reciprocating mud pumps
This construction ensures the hose maintains its integrity under the high-pressure, high-cycle conditions typical of rotary drilling and vibrator service.

- Benefit: Absorbs heave motion, ensuring continuous mud circulation and reducing mechanical stress on riser and manifold connections
- Important Restriction: Not recommended for phosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids (check fluid compatibility before installation)
